I believe that a language reveals a window into a person’s rich cultural background and history, and gives glimpses into the psyche of that linguistic group. Each time I research a language profile I am in awe of its beauty, depth, mystique and uniqueness.
I developed Language Profiles to help teachers, volunteers, and learners understand other cultures and language backgrounds. The volume series and the individual profiles are also a great resource to families investigating their cultural heritage and a great resource for International or Heritage language teachers who wish to use the profiles with their beginner classes.
